michael, The parallel combination of resistors is the recprical of the sum of their recpricol values. Req = 1 / ( 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ...) Your 16 LED resistors combine to make Req = 1/( 16 x (1/82)) = 5.125 ohms. So your LEDs are drawing just (...) (26 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

You don't really show your connection to your Handyboard, but I would suspect that with 16 connectted in parallel, you are probably drawing sufficient current to drop your voltage below the reset value of the micro monitor (DS1233? if I remember (...) we are developing a small rover here at V.E.S. Institute of technology, India and we are using DC motors made by a manufacturer here in Bombay,India. dear readers and fred martin my DC motor comes with a 10 pin optical encoder(supply current-10mA) how do i connect my encoder part to the handy board? can i ignore the encoder? my robot only needs to sense retroreflective white tape, can i just use (...)
