Re: LCD configs (was:Suppliers and rf link)

john calhoun, Mine just arrived and they are 1 X 16 connectors. I ordered 2035TNLD/Y displays for $8.00 each. You might want to order now while they have the 2X16 displays with 1X16 connectors. I have soldered the connector on and tested it and its (...) (28 years ago, 19-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: dc motor output control

Maybe you can put a series of diodes in series and in parallel but the other direction to reduce the voltage. H-bridge +- +- +- +- motor H-bridge -+ -+ -+ -+ Good luck, James (...) (28 years ago, 19-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: urgent request help !!!!

What about the display board itself? Could it be that one of the SMT parts on the board is dead? Or a trace on the LCD is shorted? --phil (28 years ago, 19-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Downloader and a/d

Cesar, (...) According to my book, you can set the reference voltages to anything from Vss to Vss + 6.0 V (notice that this is higher than Vdd). The A/D result is a ratioatic comparison for the sample voltage to the references. Page 48 of the (...) (28 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Replacing L293D with L298H

Hi Fred and others, I very desperate to debug the problem that took place in my HD. When I download the P_code, it is successfully downloaded. However, when the next instruction ask to reset the board, no words of sentence appear on the LCD. Only 16 (...) (28 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Downloader and a/d

Hi friends! First thank you a lot for the advices on the FingerBoard. It really gets near to what I need, but that ram chip is another headake. So I believe more in a "light" version of the Handyboard right now, later I'll make a specific version (...) (28 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: HD LCD problems

(...) On a lark, I'll suggest that perhaps U6 is damaged. If you have another 74HC138 around, try swapping it for the one on your HB. I had a "similar" problem (although not identical) and was able to diagnose the 74HC138 as the problem. I too was (...) (28 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: Hot serial interface board

<<snip>> So here's my question. Does your serial interface board run hot, i.e. noticeably hot to the touch. On my serial interface board (version 1.1 as printed on the board) the white ceramic block gets very hot along with the power chip? in the (...)
