  68HC11S IN THE UK

Hi everyone.. Okay, today's million dollar (or pounds actually!) question is ... WHERE THE HECK CAN I GET 68HC11's (A1) from in the United Kingdom?? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks -Dave [daveh@liteon.co.uk OR (...) (27 years ago, 3-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

My $0.02 Transducers poled in sequence can us a count to four (or more) circuit/chip. One digital output can be used to advance the count. (...) ---...--- Ed Spike (27 years ago, 3-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Several different questions

Hello everybody, I'm a new owner of the handy board and I have sereval problems to use the outputs and, as I'm new on the mailing list, I may ask questions already asked before or stupid questions so I apologize in advance. Today, I have several (...) (27 years ago, 3-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: V2X Compass

Bill, I have not been able to try that with the v2x onboard the bot so far, every time I try to load anything while the v2x is running my handyboard wants to crash. Someone out there must have a code that they would be willing to share with some of (...) (27 years ago, 3-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Sonar Multiplexor Question

You get 4 SPI output digital ports in the HB. Read the section in the FAQ about the HB's digital outputs. These 4 can be used to select your transducer. You can pull one motor driver chip and get 2 more digital outputs. Kent has routines that uses (...) (27 years ago, 3-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Sonar Multiplexor Question

(...) I notice that Adam's circuit uses all 4 available SCI outputs to select the transducer, but the sonar board itself requires two of them already. Why not just get a 2-to-4 line demultiplexor, and use the remaining 2 SCI outputs to select the (...) (27 years ago, 2-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Sonar Multiplexor Question

(...) Ive never done this before, but couldnt you do this? Buy a multiplexer that will take 2 outputs and multiplex it to 4 outputs, since you will only be driving one at a time. To each individual output of the multiplex, wire the power to one (...) (27 years ago, 2-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Sonar Multiplexor Question

To anyone on the list: I would like to drive 3-4 transducers from a single Polaroid sonar ranging unit. Adam Cox posted a circuit for doing this on the HandyBoard page -- I have a few questions regarding this and possible alternative solutions. Has (...)   Re: V2X Compass

I have a question for you, how much does the compass deviate when the motors turn on. As an ex-sailor, one of the major consideration in using magnetic compasses is deviation, and on a small bot, the deviation would vary due to the changing (...)
