  Re: Assembler

(...) If you are using the Beta of Interactive C, you can use the web version of the assembler found at: (URL) R. Cunningham MSI Consulting Group (URL) (28 years ago, 15-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Assembler

How do I turn a *.asm into a *.icb? I believe I need a program as11.???. Anyone know where it is? Larry ***...*** Larry Randall ***...*** If it works Don't fix it! ***...*** lrand@cts.com ***...*** (28 years ago, 14-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  motor voltages

Along similar lines, anyone know of a nice way to regulate 9.6V down to 6 or so, at 2 or 3 amps peak? I'm looking for something that's efficient, and won't try to burn itself out during normal use. Possibly something like the LM317 is available in (...) (28 years ago, 13-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

6V motors off of 9.6V (again)

Yes, once again, I'm exploring the idea of running some 6V motors off of the handy board's 9.6V battery. Basically, I'm worried that if I do this, I'm going to burn out _another_ pair of motors. (Though the last couple were 3V, these are 6...) How (...) (28 years ago, 13-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Extention Board?

I heard that there is an extention board for the HandyBoard. Does anyone know if it is available yet, and where I can get one? Price also?   Motor Voltage Hack

Want to use motors of different voltage than the 9V required by HandyBoard? Then read this. I had decided to use converted Servo's as wheel drives, and they want about 4.8V. In studing the diagram and board layout I discovered that the HB batterys (...) (28 years ago, 13-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Battery level monitoring?

Has anyone figured out how to monitor the battery level on an HB1.2? I would like to be able to use a circuit similar to the one published in the Jones Mobile Robots book, but it connects output directly to an analog port and is confused by the (...)   Re: h-bridges, current info

(...) the fuse is rated for about 2.5A continuous. If that is not enough, get one rated for more current, or replace it with a wire and make sure not to short out the nicads, or you'll get 30 to 40 A flowing. -F (28 years ago, 13-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Ultrasound Range-Finding

I would like to add range-finding of some description to my robot project. I would prefer to make it as cheap as possible. I have heard of the various polaroid-based schemes, but these all sound as though they are $90+ solutions. Does it have to be (...) (28 years ago, 12-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  h-bridges, current info

I'm trying to figure out a couple things. First, can four NPN transistors be used to form an h-bridge? I was looking in a book, the Robot Builder's Bonanza, which features a circuit which uses four TIP41 transistors. However, don't most h-bridges (...)
