(...) Multiply each bit by 2^n, where n is the "place" of the number. Then add the products together. For example... 1011 = 1*2^0 + 1*2^1 + 0*2^2 + 1*2^3 = 11 The "zero" place is the one furthest to the right, and you work left from there. ---...--- (...) Hi everyone, I have had the Polaroid sonar sensor working for a while and I just noticed some limitations in it. Regarding sensing flame/arc...Eltec Instruments make pyroelectric detectors to detect flames and arcs emanating from arc welding etc.. you can do it on your fingers... each finger is a bit... no fingers is 0, pinky 1, ring 2, middle 4, pointer 8, etc... once you get it down, counting bits is a breeze... i (missing on finger) can count to 512... math is still pretty hard... but can (...) Hi All, My SharpIS1U60 detectors seem to be picking up strong signals from the LED even when there is no obstacle in front of it.
