  Re: IR collision avoidance

Riachard, Could you please explain to me how the IR emitter angled at 45 degrees is able to pick up its beem. I'm unsure of the IR emmission dynamics. Wouldn't an IR angled perpidicular to the wall being travelled along suffice as the only sensor? (...) (28 years ago, 2-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  D0 - D7

I was poking about the HB with an osciloscope and ran into a bit of confusion. I had the motor outputs ON and wanted to see the PWM effect. I was able to see the square waves but...when I poked "behind" the octal latch to see what's going on with (...) (28 years ago, 2-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  hello everyone

After many frustrations and down times, I've decided to move from students to cslab. Please send me e-mail at brojd_b@cslab.uwlax.edu and NOT at brojd_b@students.uwlax.edu Thanks Benny (28 years ago, 2-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Fun part

Cappy, (...) I believe that the quickest, most efficient way to get a handle on C is to obtain and begin reading a book called "The C Programming Language" by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie, ISBN 0-13-110362-8. This small book describes the (...) (28 years ago, 1-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Fun part

I just sucessfully finished putting together the handyboard and will say that if one takes their time and is careful-there shoould be no problems. One observation/question. I notice that with the battery installed, the "heartbeat" character on the (...) (28 years ago, 1-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Reducing Battery Pack Voltage

Hi Fred I am attemping to run two low voltage DC motors (as motors 0 and 1), around 3V each(I don't have specs). I have piggybacked two of the motor driver chips (and maybe adding a third) to handle the higher current but they are still getting (...) (28 years ago, 1-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Reducing Battery Pack Voltage

I think I might have wrote something wrong before. I said that you can use an external battery of 3V. I take it back. Sorry... I didn't realise that it would only work for 6 volts to 36 volts. Ooops. :b ericson mar Master of Engineering Candidate (...) (28 years ago, 1-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Reducing Battery Pack Voltage

U can use an external battery with the HB. It can be 3V. Check the FAQ in the HB HP.
