  Re: Reducing Battery Pack Voltage

as has been discussed on this list, the Handy Board wasn't really designed for three volt toy motors. Reducing the voltage and doubling the motor chips is a reasonable approach, however. The Handy Board requires 7.2 volts to operate, because of the (...) (28 years ago, 1-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  motor voltages

Hi, This is in response to the question about motor voltages posted earlier tonight. Check out the archives. Late last week I posted a similar question and got some good responses about wiring the HB for two power supplies and using diodes. I have (...)   Re: IR Collision avoidance

Hmmm. What voltage and/or LEDs are you using? Assuming 5V, your LEDs age passing only around half a milliamp of current. I am using a 100ma LED and I can only get less than a foot of detection. Am I missing something here? Jun Nolasco (...) (28 years ago, 1-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: IR Collision avoidance

(...) Those are the IR LED's - the one's that transmit the IR light that the receiver sees. Also, while I'm at it, I found out that the diagram above isn't completely accurate (I drew it from memory). The circuit I really use is like this: (...)   Re: use of single power source op amp circuits with the Handy Board

(...) The text of your question suggests many possible answers, but I would like to propose a couple of exploratory questions. More importantly it would be useful to have some global state as to what it was you were trying to do. Anyway, you can't (...) (28 years ago, 28-Feb-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Printed circuit board

Hi, I like to know if there is a posibility to buy a printed circuit board for a Handy Board in Holland, and if there is where can I get it ? Thanks Emiel Agema (28 years ago, 28-Feb-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  help.......analog expansion header

How do you use the expansion header on analog inputs 0 to 3? I could not find specifics on its use in the documentations. Thanks, Nathan Marcantel nathanm@mail.utexas.edu 512-272-8024 6517 Carisbrooke Lane Austin, TX 78754 (28 years ago, 28-Feb-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

help ....use of op amp circuits with the Handy Board

Does anyone know how to get a negative 5 volts from the Handy board for an op amp amplifier circuit or set equations to figure out the gain of an standard op amp as the 741 or LM339 using Vee as ground and Vcc as +5 VDC? The equations only seem to (...) (28 years ago, 28-Feb-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
