  CMUCam2

Hi, recently I have read about the the CMUCam2. This is a quite cheap camera for robotics. This camera module contains also a µP module for image reconition tasks. Here are a list of the features: • Track user defined color blobs at up to 50 Frames (...) (21 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics)

NELUG recently participated in the LEGO Roadshow. We decided that we wanted to do something special for the event, so we built a fully automated quarry scene that had working vehicals with a Rube-Goldberg feeling to it where "gravel" would (...)   bad motor output because of bad lego firmware?!

Hi there, I've spent the last two days trying to write a function in NQC that transfers data to the Lepomux I/O-extender. The data transfer is normally done by connecting the Lepomux to one of the motor ports. Each transition from one motor state to (...) (21 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Regions and Listners

Hi, I'm using the lejos vision package to 'zoom in' on bright regions of an image and find their coordinates. This is done in stages to reduce memory usage - starting with large regions and getting smaller and smaller. However, I realise I don't (...) (21 years ago, 21-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  X5 - High-speed COG-shifting biped

Introducing by far my fastest biped yet. I've clocked it at approximately 28 ft./min. or about .5 km/hour, although its speed can vary a bit depending on the surface it's run on. It is fairly compact, and it uses an improved walking mechanism that (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jul-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: maze solving algorithm

Tomorrow I'm going to test it and see if it works so I'll let you know what the results are. As to if I scaled back, I didn't. (...) Well, it's not the same thing -- I'm talking about applications involving machine vision, for example; a single 640x480 32-bit image is 1200 Kb, which would exceed the entire RAM of most microcontrollers several times over, even assuming you (...)
