| There's also a light sensor in the RIS 2.0 kit that can be used for color detection. Not very reliable and highly dependent of the level of ambient light, but rudimentarily it works. You could also use the LEGO camera that comes with the Vision (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Just got the VC (couldn't wait for the RIS) :) It works great on my laptop, but on my main PC (with an ATI All-in-Wonder 128) the Lego Cam and the Vision Command software doesn't work because I think it tries to work with the first registered (...) | Steve, I agree, the Turing test is not up to date, and even in its time did not indicate intelligence accurately, though I would go so far as to say that those intelligent programs that might pass the Turing test won't pass the test of demonstrating (...) | The Vision Command set has been on shelves for two months already. Did it meet general expectations? | Thanks, you actually made me pull out one of my old comp sci texts :-) I remembered studying this stuff many moons ago .... Error detecting requires a "distance" between codes of at least TWO ... what this means is to detect a single bit error each (...) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics)
