Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing them, Fred. Next time maybe someone can put up some mpegs. :) I noticed some things that sparked my curiosity. OK, I haven't looked at encoders.asm but if the following doesn't help just send more questions. (...) Sounds about right. (...) TCTL2 sets rising, falling, or both edge modes; TMSK1 arms interupts; IC event sets the TFLG1 register. (...) correct (...) (27 years ago, 14-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  timer flags

The timer flags are cleared by either loading the accumulator with the bits you want cleared and then storing them in the timer flag register, or by using BCLR with a complemented mask. -Dirk "I speak from experience" (28 years ago, 29-Jun-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) I found this entry in the HC11 handbook, page 10-14. It may help..   Re: Re[2]: phone cord length

(...) No, that is wrong; the RS232 is converted to TTL at the serial interface board, so you do have TTL on the phone cord. In any event, I would guess that 50 ft. would not be a problem; we're talking about 9600 baud here which is pretty slow. BTW, (...) (28 years ago, 4-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

RE: You know, I just had a wacky thought...

It is not completely wacky, but there are issues. For example most audio amplifiers aren't rated for DC operation (that having their output stay at one level permanently) You can fix this by rectifying the output of the amplifier and providing a DC (...)
