| | | | Instead of trying to connect two motors to the same axle using the crown gears, why not attach the two motors to the same axle using axle connectors. Try the simple expedient of getting a piece of rod the same diameter as a Lego axle, you will find that aluminium is _very_ soft stuff, and will bend (and remain bent) far easier than the plastic axles. | | | | The thing to do would be to extrude the axles out of an aluminum alloy like 6061-T6. They would be about 20 times stiffer and weigh twice as much.
