The arm itself should be just about level in the "down" position. If its
level but the grabbers don't reach the table, then there's probably
something wrong in the grabber assembly (or how the arm is attached to the
base). If it isn't level, then the touch sensor may not be detecting its
position correctly.
You may want to take a look at Figure 19-15 and make sure that you have a
grey half-peg and a black 1x2 brick attached to the 1x10 beam. If the
brick is missing, the arm probably won't raise high enough. If the
half-peg is missing, it won't lower properly.

Thanks for writing a great book....it is so much better than the O'Reilly one. It hit Europe last week ! Maybe (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
