This is an oppurtune time to interject my problem...I don't have the capacity
to understand how you connect a sensor like this one to the rcx.  The diagram
on the website shows four connection points: V+, reference, gnd, and output.
I only retain about 5% electronics knowledge (Michael Gasperi can vouch for
that one!) and would like to get all this behind me.  I did purchase Compton's
Learning Electronics to use on my computer yesterday; I don't want to
be "electronically challenged".

This would be kinda crude, but you could put two thermisters where I have
CdS photocells in my differential photo sensor and get something like what
you are looking for.  You might need to add a stage of gain some how.  You
also would also need very light weight thermisters.  Look on this page in
the homebrew section for the differential light sensor for more info.

I have recently made the interface to connect the Eltec 442-3 pyroelectric sensor, using Michael Gasperi's analog interface as a reference (thanks Michael), although some minor modifications need to be made. The pyroelectric sensor works very well, (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
