ideas for a RIS 2.0 —Nate Ridderman
I was wondering what people think should be changed if LEGO ever comes out with a RIS 2.0. Here are some of my ideas. More ports (4 in, 4 out) Better IR communication or radio comm. Sensors: Proximity Sensor Color Light Sensor More Sensitive Touch (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi All: C2PO (contrary to popular opinion) I think that the RCX ver. 1.0 is just fine as currently implemented. It does an excellent job of meeting the needs of it's target market (such as my two sons at 10 & 11 y.o.) as well as providing a super (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Remember, with radio, you need a way of identifying bots, perhaps id numbers would be in order for the rcx Nate Ridderman wrote in message ... (...) Who (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: ideas for a RIS 2.0 —Robert Munafo
(...) It would be better to implement this via a multiplexor brick (which contains a circuit like this one: (URL) a similar brick that performs a similar function for multiplexing outputs. You could also build a connector plate for multiple touch (...) (25 years ago, 19-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: ideas for a RIS 2.0 —Michael Nickasch
i was thinking from the bots and sensors arrays that i have used that maybe there should be a touch sensor that works in reverse positively, as in it's neutral position would be depressed and the trigger would be in an "out" position just an idea.     All I'd ask of an RIS 2.0 is a huge bank of inputs and a huge bank of outputs. 3 of each is just not enough.
