   I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard that you can make your RCX program respond to three of the buttons on the RCX remote control. You can also (if you need more than three commands) use a second RCX as a remote control. I've run across a (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

      The three buttons on the remote control simply send messages 1, 2, and 3. These are the only buttons that send IR codes that can be processed by your RCX program.      (...) That's the remote control I was talking about. There is only one RCX remote control. Only three of the buttons on the remote control are useable as commands to a running RCX program. The site shows pictures of 6- button controllers made up of two RCXes (not counting at least one to control (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)
