I was wondering if anyone knows of a way or has any ideas of how I could
implement a web controlled bot. My plan is to sit a web cam on top of a
robot and I want a user to be able to control which way the camera looks via
the web...I think its a pretty interesting idea.

Thanks in advance...
Pedram

My roommate and I are planning to try that.  We don't have any ideas yet,
except that the wireless camera on www.x10.com looks cool.  Also, getting
the bot to change direction would require either line of sight to the IR
interface, or some radio interface to an IR signal generator mounted on the
bot.

Anyone else have ideas about controlling the bot dynamically?

(...) It's not really wireless. It's just small. The camera has to be plugged into something to handle the video signal, as well as power. X10 just chose to bundle it with one of those wireless video senders, which also isn't totally wireless, it (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)
