  Re: web controllable robots

(...) My roommate and I are planning to try that. We don't have any ideas yet, except that the wireless camera on www.x10.com looks cool. Also, getting the bot to change direction would require either line of sight to the IR interface, or some radio (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  web controllable robots

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way or has any ideas of how I could implement a web controlled bot. My plan is to sit a web cam on top of a robot and I want a user to be able to control which way the camera looks via the web...I think its a (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: web controllable robots

(...) I've got a Color Quickcam set up in a pan/tilt arrangement on the top of my cube wall at work. It's not web-controllable yet (there are issues with the RCX software still, and I need a pair of rotation sensors), but it is computer-controlled. (...)   Re: web controllable robots

(...) Buy a CyberMaster and you'll see the word "line of sight" disappear from your dictionary! :-) Then you'll have another problem, you'll have people peaking your entire house and you'll loose all privacy! Hehehe ;-) Laurentino Martins [ (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: web controllable robots

(...) ===...=== I've been planning on doing something like that. It's been about 3-4 years, but I've done web control of robots over the web (long before Mindstorms; we were a sort of beta testers for Lego and Fischertechnic(sp?)). In fact, some (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: web controllable robots

(...) It's not really wireless. It's just small. The camera has to be plugged into something to handle the video signal, as well as power. X10 just chose to bundle it with one of those wireless video senders, which also isn't totally wireless, it (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Was wondering if anyone has contacted the person who does this page: (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: web controllable robots

(...) There is a discussion going on about an IR protocol for LegOS, nicknamed LNP (Which I am very keen on us implementing, hopefully in a fairly open form). The idea that sounds quite trick there is an IP<->LNP router of some sort, which would not (...) (25 years ago, 1-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: web controllable robots

(...) You can do this today with LegOS/EmuLegOS, and possibly with the standard firmware. In case you don't follow LegOS, EmuLegOS is an emulator for the LegOS libraries, but the latest version contains virtual and real IR support. Baiscally there (...)   Re: web controllable robots & LNP

(...) This gives me a bit of an idea... Presumably there is not much to stop me (or anyone else) coding some or all of the non-RCX parts of this LNP thing using Tcl - 2400 baud is hardly high speed! I had been wondering about how to keep most of the (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
