What would be more useful - and what I'm assuming (hoping?) alternate
firmware like legOS are up to - is to allow you to manage the available
memory between data space and code space. There are 6100 bytes of
memory available for 5 programs and a datalog (unavailable,
unfortunately, from RCX code). But only 32 (2 byte) variables! I
haven't even come close to maxing out the code space, yet. But the data
space limit is severely limiting.

| Hi Mark, (...) That's a yes. Apart from a minor issue with the memory map, you should have about 32k - ~5k kernel - ~1k ROM data available eventually. (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| Has anyone thought about increasing the memory capacity of an RCX (or is there simply not enough room inside the box)? -- "It is better to ask a 'stupid question' than to make a stupid mistake." (26 years ago, 7-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
