Hi Ryan,
My standard recommendation is _Mobile
Robotics, Inspiration to Implementation_,
by Anita Flynn and Joe Lee Jones:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1568810970/
Also see my previous post on this subject, which
contains a mini-review:

I'll let it "leak" here that I am working on a book
about Mindstorms for O'Reilly. But it's in the
early stages, so if you have any questions, direct
them to me rather than the order or customer
service people at O'Reilly.
Regards,
Jonathan

| I concur with Jonathan's recommendation on the Flynn/Jones book. It is very well done, it is thorough, and it is a pretty good introduction to robotics. I built the Rug Warrior Pro mentioned in the book without prior practical knowledge of robotics (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| Thanks to everyone for all of the great references. Now I've got enough reading material to last a good month and a half. But come to think of it, I really didn't want to get my homework done anyways. :) Thanks again, --Ryan (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
