I got the sports expansion pack for xmas. It was alright, but i think
that there are cooler sets to spend your money on. What sorts of
parts do you want?
If I were spending $50 I'd probably get 8277 (lots of beams, especially
for $30) and spend the other $20 on S@H parts packs (axle pack, gears
pack, and whatever else suits you). If you want an extra motor they
are ~$20 from S@H, or ~$35 anywhere for set 8735 (which also comes with
gears and axles).

| I asked this back at Christmastime, got many similar replies. I ended up getting 8440 Formula 1 racer and 8226 Mud Masher[1]. I also picked up the ubiquitous 8735 for an extra motor and bunch of gears. My next purchase will definately need to be (...) (26 years ago, 28-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
