I was thinking about going down and getting at least one of the expansion
packs this week. Is one much better than the other? Or is there enough good
stuff in each to warrant buying both of them? Thanks in advance for the
opinions.

| (...) I got the #9719. For some reason, Lego isn't marketing it as an expansion set. It has an expansion unit that connects via the IR port. It will drive 3 motors and 3 sensors. The set includes 2 motors, 2 touch sensors, a light sensor and 700 (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) I got the sports expansion pack for xmas. It was alright, but i think that there are cooler sets to spend your money on. What sorts of parts do you want? If I were spending $50 I'd probably get 8277 (lots of beams, especially for $30) and (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
