  Some new videos

I have added a few relatively new videos to YouTube and my blog.   Motorized sausage

OK, here comes another one! (2 URLs) This has a new (?) method of locomotion - it rolls along just by changing its shape. The wheels are fixed to the body and do not rotate. In principle you could enclose the whole thing in a plastic bag and it (...) (15 years ago, 30-Dec-09, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: A fast NXT 2.0 ball sorter

(...) Thanks ! (...) I initially thought I would have to do that, but actually in this design the speed limitation comes from the ball splitter mechanism (in the NXC version it runs full speed without stopping). I have not tried with alkaline (...) (15 years ago, 28-Dec-09, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: A fast NXT 2.0 ball sorter

Wow! Simply fantastic; great work Philo. And so fast that the slow motion video is really needed to see what's going on! Thanks for sharing. Alexander (15 years ago, 27-Dec-09, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

Re: A fast NXT 2.0 ball sorter

(...) That's VERY cool Philo! Have you investigated speeding it up by unlinking the 2 sorter levels, ie move the top level for the next ball while the bottom level is still positioned for the current ball? May need a holding pen between level 1 & 2 (...) (15 years ago, 27-Dec-09, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: Reducing voltage

(...) You have to be careful here. The controller is designed to take AC or DC, but the input diodes that that convert the AC to DC are only rated for 1 Amp (1000 milliampres). Make sure your transformer/wallwart is not rated for more than this. (...) (15 years ago, 24-Nov-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Reducing voltage

(...) Hello, you can put AC or DC voltage at the input of the regulator with no problem as long as you don't put more than 9VAC~14VDC. The internal circuit will take both. So a quick fix that put 4.5~5V DC at the input will ouput about 3~3.2VDC at (...) (15 years ago, 23-Nov-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics)
