  Re: Control Lab & NQC

(...) that's the one. Thanks for the link. I'll certainly try it out. (18 years ago, 7-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Control Lab & NQC

(...) Unfortunately the link is dead. Why not use real C? Because I'm not a programmer and don't know C. Anything I do know (like NQC) I got from tutorials specific for LEGO. linmix (18 years ago, 7-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Control Lab & NQC

(...) Is that the same as the Dacta 70909? I have a page with some info about that and its protocol, and a test environment programmed (with a puny 'programming language') in Delphi - no OCX needed. Source is available. (URL) Anders Isaksson, Sweden (...) (18 years ago, 7-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Control Lab & NQC

(...) The Control Lab is a serial I/O device. I don't see the benefit of using NQC with it since it doesn't run programs itself; the computer does. NQC would have to change in a fundamental way to accommodate it: either compile to bytecodes for a (...) (18 years ago, 7-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Control Lab & NQC

(...) Nothing has ever come of it. Partially because I haven't yet gotten my hands on a control lab unit and partially because I got involved with other things. John Hansen (18 years ago, 7-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Control Lab & NQC

I was looking for references to the Control Lab in Lugnet and came across this post ((URL) by John Hansen trying to buy a Control Lab to add some support for in in BricxCC/NQC. I can't seem to find out if anything ever came of it. Can anyone tell (...) (18 years ago, 6-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  NXT Fans in Edmonton?

Are there any NXT fans in the Edmonton, Alberta area? I'm here until about Wednesday noon and would enjoy getting togher and seeing what you are up to and perhaps giving a demonstration of pbLua. Cheers, Ralph (18 years ago, 5-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  new xy-plotter

We are currently developing a new xy-plotter using one RCX. We deliberately choose the RCX for this project, because we worked out an interesting open-loop control with modulated waveforms that are applied to the motors. The page is journal-style, (...)   Re: RCX vs. NXT

Very nice! Thanks for pointing these out! God Bless, Nathan (URL) (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) He's implying that since the Mac vs. PC ads are noticeably full of lies, distortions, and half-truths (like how digital cameras don't work with PCs, PCs don't work straight out of the box, PCs need expensive upgrades to run new operating (...) (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) Very cool. I must say, I was expecting RCX to come back with no memory, once his batteries were changed... :) But, still funny. And, I don't think I would have identified Jake without the hat. :) Steve (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) is RCX. These were just meant to be a humorous look at the differences between the NXT and the RCX, not anything purely educational. Glad to see people enjoying them - we had a ton of fun putting them together! -- Brandon Newendorp (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) I thought these movies were hilarious and very clever. Glad that some of you fellow "LEGO geeks" enjoyed them. I know the kids that I work with will get a kick out of them. Tonya Witherspoon (URL) (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) I must say, I don't understand that comment. I'd agree that if you're looking for a fact-based comparison, this would not be the best source. But, if you're a LEGO geek (like many of us) looking for something funny, this is a good place to (...) (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Ultra Sonic Sensor Readings

(...) OK. I'll read up. At the moment, I'm staring at a midium size paper cup. I think I'll slice it in half and see how good a reflector it is. I suppose the studs on an 8x8 plate were probably acting like baffles in my last experiment. (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) Well the nxt guy has got to be Brandon who was also in action at Atlanta. (URL) (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: RCX vs. NXT

No, these are for Lego-geeks only, who can recognize a Mac/PC parody using NXT/RCX instead. Very clever, kudos to the team that put them together. Alas, if you're looking for an academic comparison between the two, this isn't the place to find it. (...) (18 years ago, 3-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) LOL they're actually quite funny (the NXT/RCX ones, not MAC/PC). Especially rookie.mov. ROSCO (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX vs. NXT

(...) Full of lies, distortions and half-truths? I'll skip it, thanks. (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)
