Hello, This may seem a little odd, but I want to get the RCX talking to the PC wirelessly without compromising the infrared sensors! This may seem a little odd, but it is because I need line of sight between the two robots, but communication from (...) (18 years ago, 11-Feb-07, to lugnet.robotics)

You might also look at (URL) I have not tried this toolset it appears to basically allow for a communication channel between MATLAB and the NXT. But it does not appear to "compile" MATLAB code into NXT Bytes or NXT code. Ed (18 years ago, 11-Feb-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) It sounds like you want to make a program in Matlab, and compile it to run on the NXT. You do NOT want to make a program that runs on a PC, and is a remote control for the NXT. Right? This is NOT a simple task. I don't know much about Matlab, (...) (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I bought a Znap set on eBay (my first!) and it also has an older 71427 motor that doesn't turn well. It works when powered but I don't think it's very happy. I have released today a new official BricxCC release (3.3.7.16) which includes NBC/NXC 1.0.1 b25. BricxCC has updated syntax highlighting for NXC and NBC. It also has a number of minor fixes. I have posted sourcecode and the win32 build of beta 25 for NBC/NXC. The Linux and Mac OSX binaries will be available later today.
