I am a LEGO Robolab Mentor. The PC adminstrator installing Robolab on new Intel-based iMacs is having an issue with version 2.5.4. The main splash screen locks up. Has anyone seen this issue and is there a solution? Is using the 2.9 software the (...) (19 years ago, 17-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi Dick, (...) is SAMBA available when a LEGO firmware is flashed? If you first have to do a long reset to activate SAMBA then that will wipe the first few kilobytes of flash, so the image will be incomplete and useless. (...) I second that. (...) (19 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi, I have modified the NXT firmware source to work with gcc, and also set up the make file. Pls. read on if you are interested... NXT can be programmed with a gcc toolchain (Lego uses IAR). The gcc toolchain setup description I have made is (...) (19 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

I think you'll be happy with simply upgrading to 1.03. You may be ultra-conservative in wanting to back up 1.01. I don't have a copy of 1.01 but here's what you can do to create your own image. It will require some effort on your part. Go to (...) (19 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)
