I'm a newbie and am sure this has been answered before but why (as an individual developer) would I want to use Robolab as opposed to the individual Mindstorms Software that comes w/RCX? I just installed it on my XP machine and the tutoriasl seem to crash. This maybe be due to the fact that I have Quicktime 7.x installed instead of the 3.x from the kit. So far other things seem to be working but I have just started. I thought this (...) (19 years ago, 13-Aug-06, to lugnet.robotics)

So the bad news is a lot of standard GBC modules will break if they hit a Zamor sphere, so they really can't be used unconstrained in a GBC. the good news is there are a number of GBC modules that can process both easily, so if you build (...) (...) Correction, Tried again with the Billionton and managed to get it to work. The trick is not to use the software that came with the adapter but rather to use the native drivers in WinXP.
