  Pneumatic Tanks

Been Looking for some peices to do a few pneumatic projects with. Between Dacta and Lego S&H, I have found Tubing,Valves,Pumps & Cylinders, but I can't find Tanks... It would appear that the only way for me to get a tank or two, is to buy some of (...) (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Peter Baggiolini wrote (...) I detailed making a plastic bottle tank in an previous post on Pneumatics ...The storage tank I eluded to above is made from a 1 litre plastic pop bottle. I haven't pressurized it until the pumps bleed off excess, (...) (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Try using a Coke bottle w/small brass fitting siliconed in the cap. Secure it to the robot (invention) w/rubber bands for easy removal. It takes a while to fill it but that's a lot of air for use. Good luck. (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) great and is still small enough to fit on a robot. I used the "accordian" pipes to attach it to my bot. heres a picture of it: (URL) just set it on my scanner so sorry for the quality. If you have any questions just ask. P.S. the yellow pipes (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic Tanks

(...) This is a nice idea. One thought, though, is it really necessary to have two holes? I would think that one hole is enough if one use a T junction like this: air tank ___ (___) | compressor---+---application Or will this setup halt the air (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I admit that I don't really understand all the words there, however. So to clear things up, do you achieve the limiting of the flow simply by narrowing the tube at some point, or is there some even more complicated things going on? Fredrik (26 years ago, 10-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Fredrik Glöckner wrote in message ... (...) Ahhh, You got me! I wrote the post like there was something more complicated going on... but there isn't. Make it narrower, and call it a "inline flow limiting device" ;) The thing that makes it better (...) (26 years ago, 10-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) :-) (...) Syringes? That's injection needles, right? Hm. Now where do I get disposable syringes? Ah, I figure I'll find something I can use somewhere. Thanks for the idea! Fredrik (26 years ago, 11-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Fredrik Glöckner wrote in message ... (...) Yes, injection needles. Make sure to get a small gauge needle. Since the air is thin, you need a small restriction to see any reduction in flow. Drug stores normally have disposable needles, but you might (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
