i'm Chris. i must apologize
and yeah, i find it irritating to get back a bunch of acks or to get a 'send
receipt' notice from a mailing list/newsgroup when reading.
in defense, the yahoo groups(where i post alot) appear to strip out the
requests so i don't notice it's still on until weeks after i've last used
it. and outlook express doesn't easily let you tack an ack request onto
just one message. you gotta do it globally then remember to turn it off.
(sumtin' i ain't good at)
i'll try to be more vigilant in the future.

| | Read Receipt requested from "Chris" messages
|
| Just about every time I read a message from "Chris" in this newsgroup, my browser asks if I want to send a reply indicating I received the message. I have some problems with this. First of all I don't like having e-mail trigger unexpected activity. (...) (21 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics)
