    wireless X10 cameras - any good? —Gareth Bestor
   I hope this isn't too off topic, but has anybody actually bought and tried out these wireless X10 cameras that are advertised all over the web? I'm thinking of using one in a Lego mobile robot. I have an Intel webcam that has a composite video input (...) (23 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

     (...) The video works reasonably well where the lighting is good. I've never been to thrilled with the audio.      (...) They suck bad... I have three of them. In really bright light they are ok... Just ok. But in 'normal' lighting they are terrible. And the wireless 2.4ghz can't take moving around at all without 'blipping'... It was a huge disappointment and (...) (23 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

     (...) out (...) I bought one of these with the AA battery pack for under $100 and mounted it with rubber bands on the radio control Lego car #5600.    (...) They suck, don't waste your money. They pretty much require the light of direct sunlight to be able to view anything. Anything dimmer and the picture is so dark you can't see anything.
