Hello everyone...
I'm just starting to get into this Lego/RCX stuff. I'm a professional
programmer, kind of transitioning into teaching high school programming, and
Lego/RCX seems like a neat way to teach programming. But first I need to learn
to work with Lego/RCX myself.
So I'm about to buy a starter kit. As far as I know, what I need is "Robotics
Invention System 1.5". But I'm having trouble finding it. Target and Toys R Us
don't have any. The company that took over eToys says they want to sell me one,
but they're kind of indefinite about whether they really have them in stock.
I'm wondering if no one has 1.5 for sale because 2.0 (or 1.6?) is about to come
out. Does anyone know if that's true? Does it even matter?
So my question is, what should I buy, and where should I buy it?
Thanks...

| You might want to take a look at the systems available from Lego Pitsco Dacta. (URL) are specialists in learning systems, but they are a bit pricey. Their system is based on RoboLab programming for the RCX. They are a great resource for teachers of (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.robotics)
