Re: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —David Eaton
(...) Just as an addendum, there's also the 9V train motor, although that isn't easily transferrable since the contact points are on moving parts, etc... DaveE (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

     (...) And the 9v Monorail motor <set:5040>. - David (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —David Eaton
(...) Yeah, but that's not still in production... DaveE (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —David Arnon
(...) Yeh, like the <set:8720> motor. By the way, is there any current set in production that includes the micromotor? I'm pretty sure that the last Technic set that had it was the <set:8480 Shuttle>. What about non-Technic sets? - David (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —David Eaton
(...) Not sure if this is still available via S@H (or dacta, I suppose): <set:5119 5119 Micromotor> And I'm not sure if this has one? <set:8457 8467 {Power Puller}> DaveE (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —David Arnon
(...) Yes, I saw this service pack on S@H about a week ago. It's also available through pisco (just the motor, not the entire pack) (...) No, it has the regular geared motor. (...) - David (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —Tilman Sporkert
There is a large non-Technic divers set that has a micromotor and fiberoptics to get a flashing light effect. I'm not sure if this set is still in production - it has been on clearance in some stores a couple of month ago. Tilman (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —Tilman Sporkert
Oops, it's a space set that has the Micromotor, not a divers set. It's 6979 Interstellar Starfigher, released in 1997. Tilman (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!?? —Tilman Sporkert
OK, I meant "general purpose motors". If you consider everything that is available today and turns if you apply electrical power to it, you get: - 5114 non geared 9V Motor - 5300 Train Motor 9V - 624 9V Motor. Actually, a motor block with two axles (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Two, one on each side. I've not looked inside, but they seem comparable to the gear motor in the RIS. Jürgen (23 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)
