(...) Transformers do NOT convert AC to DC. They only convert AC to AC. The DC conversion is performed by four diodes in the RIS1.0. Maximum input is rated at 12V AC or DC (the diodes will take care of the polarity for DC inputs) although the (...) (24 years ago, 1-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I have been playing with a couple of Lego solar panels and the Capacitors. (URL) label on the capacitor claims a value of 1 farad. Is this value possible in such a small component?
