(...) What about using #32250 liftarms? They may not be large enough for your needs, but here's a pic: (URL) Regards Micah J. Mabelitini - LUGNET #918 The University of Kentucky SECC Middlesboro Academic Skills Resource Center accutron@kih.net - (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Curved Feet

Andy, I think the curved foot concept is the wrong direction for a two-legged mechanism. The few simple two-legged mechanisms I have seen rely on two feet, each with a VERY large footprint. Each footprint is large enough to support the weight of the (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

/nitpick on/ (...) Technically, you can't move your knee joint laterally. As for lateral toe movement - it's so small as to be trivial. /nitpick off/ Matthias Jetleb VA3-MWJ (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  OT: Was that you?

While watching Wheel Of Fortune tonight (3/22), they had a contestant on named Michael ? (didn't get the last name) who said he builds and programs Lego Robots! Just wondering if this was The Michael Gasperi? On a game show? If not, who was it, and (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Sorry I thought Koen wanted the plans for the truck not the transmitter, You don't ushally use the word 'Masterpiece' to describe a black box full of electronics, then again I should have read his entire posting.   Re: 3 Robot Project - ALL DONE ALMOST

Sorry about getting to this so late. This message got lost. (...) I suggest replacing the wheels on your caster with medium pulleys (the ones similar to 24t gears), WITHOUT putting the "O-ring" tires on them. I have found this to be an excellent (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) A flurry of activity! The r/c unit is indeed John's baby so you'd be best writing to him about it. It is an excellent unit which took a lot of work to source parts, design and build, so I think he has every right to receive a mometary reward (...)   Re: Curved Feet

(...) How about curved railway track? IIRC that gives you pieces about 16 studs long (little less for inner rail, more for outer) with an angle of 1/16th full circle (22.5 degrees). You can then call the beast "big foot" :-) Jürgen (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Curved Feet

Well, if you read the page, you will find that they did papers on this principle. Try looking one directory back. Anyway, in the paper A 3-D passive-dynamic walking robot with two legs and knees, they described how they built the robot. Since thier (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Yes, I tried it. I don't know how the internals of the RCX work; all I know is I put 12V in, and got 9V out. -- Mark Haye, mhaye(at)tivoli(dot)com "Matthias Jetleb" <jetleb@netcom.ca> wrote in message news:3ab97dfc.301576...net.com... (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Lego Remote Control - Here's The Scoop

Hi ! As some of you have noticed, Ms. Jennifer Clark showed off her beautiful new truck model at the Cheshire Legofest recently.   Re: Curved Feet

What kind of ankle joint? A motorized one, or passive one? If it is the first type I think the leg will be too heavy to be moved quickly. That is critical since the robot falls onto itself. Looking closer at the design, I think that you only need to (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Solar Cell Output in Direct Sunlight
