  RIS Bulldozer

Does anyone know where plans for the RIS Bulldozer might be found? There is a pic of it on the back of the box, and I've searched all over for it, but to no avail. I want to push some dishes off the dinning room table =) Tom Heverly (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: error -14

The latest version of directx is 8.0 ... it's upwards compatible and has some bugs fixed , you can find it on the microsoft site. If you first install directx 8.0, the mindstorms installation won't install the old version of directx. Good luck. (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: A new Rover

I like the idea of having the motor pinion directly drive the differentials. I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a way to integrate a differential into tracked crawler. Thanks for the inspiration : ) -Xanthra47 PS. Oh, yeah. Cool (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

More excellent robots ! Thanks for sharing, Mario : ) I'm sorta bummed that you beat me to the LEGO(R) Shrimp, but I love your drive system and you did leave me some leeway to build a shrimp that can steer.... Xanthra47 "Mario Ferrari" (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: article in JavaWorld and Garbage Collection

Great article, Jonathan! That's exactly what I need to get started. Your point about garbage collection (esp. lack thereof) reminded me of a question I have for everyone: Since LeJOS doesn't currently implement garbage collection, it seems there are (...)   Fixed it

Thanks again. It's pretty hard getting even a small site to work properly. I.e., Geocities frequently drops images from the instructions page. I might provide a better format (pdf?) soon. Cheers, Miguel (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Shrimp, Lobster & more...

No, I'm not OT :-) SHRIMP is the name of a very clever high mobility rover developed by the Autonomous Systems Lab in Lausanne, Switzerland. You can see it here: (URL) ago I made a Lego implementation of it, and only now found the time to put it on (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics) !
