I had lunch with Charlie today, and we discussed the Mindstorms IR on pilot issue somewhat. First of all; Someone did send him an email, and he's sorry he hasn't gotten anywhere useful with a reply. Most of what has been discussed has been "How to make Palms or Agendas communicate using IR with 1 or more RCX bricks." I also considered for a while how to do as you say and have the PDA itself power the robot, but if you do so, you'll need a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I'd pretty much echo what John has said - it is good stuff, with a couple of limitations, the main one being that the inner diameter is too small to allow it to be pushed onto flex system tubes. I've used it on the bucket section of my skid (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)
