Indeed. I have purchased, directly, for me and me alone, well in excess of
600 Lego products, only 1 of which is a Mindstorms kit. I can say with a
fair degree of certainty that I'm not the biggest spender out there, or even
in the top 10.
I don't think AFOL's count for half of the off-the-shelf market, but I
expect those numbers are higher that you might think - and I wouldn't be
surprised at all if we counted as half or better of the Shop at Home market,
or three quarters of the bulk sales.
