(...) Very nice results! Another interesting thing to measure would be differences of the outputs. If you know these, you can put 3 motors each on its output and by changing the sequence measure whether the slowing down in a series is due to some (...) Steve Baker writes: > We *need* stepper motors! Noooooooo!!!!!! We need motors like servo motors, where they come in a box, and have a built-in controller. Except that they need to be multi-turn, and you need to be able to say "Measure the angular (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Limit Switches without using sensor inputs

Very sharp! A very clever and elegant solution to a common problem. (25 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Motor mis-match.

Thank you! I'm glad to see someone has taken a semi-scientific approach to the whole question. I have one correction/comment to make though: It's doubtful that the Lego motors will heat up significantly enough to affect their operating speed. There (...)   Re: I ordered a 1.5 and was sent a 1.0 Good or Bad?

(...) Head to www.lego.com and search for Consumer Affairs in the search box in the upper right corner of the page. Click on "Help" in the results page. Search for the text "Consumer Affairs" in the page. There, you'll see a US Toll Free number, (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I have exactly the same problem. How do you contact Consumer Affairs? I don't know the number or web address. Actually, I didn't even know they had such an animal. Matthias Jetleb VA3-MWJ (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Dream

(...) Ironic that Jacob wresting with the angel should appear like the devil (MSFT) dancing with the innocent (TLG). "Jacob" after all, means "back-biter". (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Doom

(...) Hmm, yes, I agree! BTW, did you know that there are 3 adult LEGO fans at Electronic Arts? Steve Jackson (yes, _the_ Steve Jackson) is also an adult fan of LEGO. :-) (...) This is mostly what has me worried. There's nothing wrong with wanting (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
