Re: Studios camera working with Mindstorms

(...) hmmm... dunno if TLG sell's the #9731 Vision Command *software* as an update option for Studios owners. You'd be better ask them directly. I might want to try and get details on the software included in #9736 Exploration Mars too. Marco C. aka (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX replacment firmware

Jonathan: 1014EST 363-2000 (...) Many thanks! That did it; using a different browser. You really think I'd know better after 20 years on the Internet. 8-) Thanks again! (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Jonathan (et. al.): 0947EST 363-2000 (...) the SDK2.0 firmware through this page for a couple of weeks now. When you push the download button on the last page it downloads that page (the HTML page you're looking at) to your hard drive, not the SDK. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX replacment firmware

Hi Chris, leJOS is not an irreversible step, nor is legOS or pbForth or even Lego's default firmware. The firmware is stored in battery-backed RAM, so you can download different firmwares as much as you like. Look for an article about leJOS in (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

You need the "Vision Command" software to use the camera for a control for the RCX. -- Bob Fay California, USA rfay@we.mediaone.net (URL) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NQC 2.2 and RcxCC

Add this statement to your Autoexec.bat SET NQC_OPTIONS=-Trcx2 This is for Win 95 or 98. This makes NQC react to Version 2 of the firmware as NQC checks these options before compiling the program. That makes RcxCC happy. -- Bob Fay California, USA (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX replacment firmware

I have an RCX I haven't used in a while, but plan to start working with again. The brick says 1.0, but another post said the 1.5 bricks still said 1.0. How can I tell what release I have? I've been thinking of putting in the LeJOS java VM firmware (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Can the touch sensor be used as a momentary switch? (without RCX)

(...) Unfortunately, the polarity switch is no longer available through Shop at Home. If it were, I'd pick up at least 4 of them. Ah, well- perhaps they'll start making it again. Thanks for the responses, everyone! It's bad news, but at least I (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: RCX games.

(...) Yes. Only available in RCX 2.0's firmware (which you can download from the Lego web site and run on 1.0 or 1.5 RCX sets) - and you need a pretty recent version of NQC that supports that new firmware. It's kinda weird though. You don't say "Put (...) (25 years ago, 27-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Mindstorms book with MIBO

Is the book in English or Japanese? How do propose distributing them once you have them in the US? How do we arrange payment? (...) (25 years ago, 27-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)
