  Re: Electric leads

(...) The MEGA long ones come in the Mars Explorer sets (Mindstorms). They must be 2x the long ones in the RIS set. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (25 years ago, 23-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Book question

(...) Actually, I wouldn't mind hearing some honest reviews of both books, especially from people who have both. Anyone? Anyone? I went with Dave Baum's because I was told it had better description of building technique, which is where I'm weak. But (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Electric leads

Nope. The really long ones are Mindstorms. They come in handy for remote control. The shortest one (15) and the long middle (70) are from the space shuttle. The 20.5 come in ZNAP and Mindstorms. I don't know about the shorties being in the expansion (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: cue cat

(...) I am sorry if there has been a major misunderstanding here. My point about cue cat was that it is a source of supply for free sensors, in terms of LEDs and phototransistors. I fully intended to take 90% of the guts and bin them! JB (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: cue cat

(...) If I :understood the original :poster correctly, the :idea is to :disassemble the :Cat and :remove its light :sensor. I don't think the :idea was to use the :Cat directly. :Kekoa (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Electric leads

I believe the 2 middle lengths are from Minstorms RIS. The longer ones are used in the 8480 Space Shuttle and the very short ones came in the Minstorms expansions (ie: Robo Sports and Extreme Creatures) as well as the smaller Z-nap sets.
