    Brick Storage —Steve Baker
This probably ought to be in the FAQ - and you've probably had this question 1e6 times before....How do people with *VAST* Lego collections store them? I've just spent about four evenings collecting every Lego brick in the house and sorting them (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

        Re: Brick Storage —Todd Lehman
(...) If you're curious about types of sloped elements, check this out! :) (URL) [...] (...) I use Acro Mils storage containers and sort everything by shape. Some of the larger bins get split into multiple colors (like small plates and bricks). (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.storage)

         Re: Brick Storage —Jim Hughes
(...) I am currently in the last stages of reorganizing my (primarily) Technic collection. For the specialized Technic elements I am now using Zag Professional Organizers. I know that when I was 'playing' (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

<snippedy-dooh-dah> (...) largely (...) specialised Lego (...) Same with me. I came across a lot of new parts. The Lego Technic evolution was faster than I thought. The new beams, connectors and all that stuff you need to build the new models. (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Specialisation (was Brick Storage) —Steve Baker
(...) The complaint I have though is that many of these new parts are totally unnecessary. The case in point that upset *me* was the "Bi-Wing Baron" from the Adventure series (5928) which is a small biplane model. The whole of the underside of the (...)          Re: Specialisation (was Brick Storage) —Frank Filz
(...) Well, actually, you can't quite get the same shape, or at least not if you want as sturdy a model. It also would actually take 12 parts to reproduce it (2 4x7x1 complex inverse slope, 2 1x4 plates, 2 1x2 plates, 2 1x2 bricks, 2 1x1 thin wall (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)
