Re: Recreating Vision Center in RoboLab 4.9

(...) I found the link to CEEO's VIsion Tutorial. (URL) is the go to place to study the Vision Center. I was able to adapt GPS8.vi in the GPS_Camera8.llb part of: (URL) from Claude Baumann of the Convict School in Luxembourg to perform the Vision (...)   Recreating Vision Center in RoboLab 4.9

I am working on recreating Vision Center vi in RoboLab 4.9. Currently my Vision Center vi: Threshold, MorphOpen, MorphClose, MorphProperOpen, MorphProperClose, MorphThin and Invert causes a clear outline in the build window. When I try to recreate (...)   LabVIEW Education Edition

National Instruments has just released the LabVIEW Education Edition, (URL) best stuff I've ever worked with in the context of LEGO robotics. The features are so fantastic that we have succeeded with few efforts in implementing a Kalman filter to (...) (15 years ago, 29-Nov-09, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NXTasy down

(...) After a concerted email campaign to aplus.net support I finally got a response and as of tonight the forums are now functioning again. I will post a message to the nxtasy blog to help spread the word. John Hansen (15 years ago, 27-Nov-09, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: Reducing voltage

(...) You have to be careful here. The controller is designed to take AC or DC, but the input diodes that that convert the AC to DC are only rated for 1 Amp (1000 milliampres). Make sure your transformer/wallwart is not rated for more than this. (...) (15 years ago, 24-Nov-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Reducing voltage

(...) Hello, you can put AC or DC voltage at the input of the regulator with no problem as long as you don't put more than 9VAC~14VDC. The internal circuit will take both. So a quick fix that put 4.5~5V DC at the input will ouput about 3~3.2VDC at (...) (15 years ago, 23-Nov-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Reducing voltage

(...) I think this is how you want to do it. A simple solution would be to go to Radio Shack, and buy a couple large ceramic resistors. (not sure the values you'd want, but something low). Then, take a normal 9v wire, cut it, and insert the (...) (15 years ago, 23-Nov-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Reducing voltage

(...) Years ago PNLTC used to do this for the kids table at the show. From what I recall, we just drove a screw though the controller at about the 4th notch in the black area on each side to keep it from turning too far. It is a very long lasting, (...)   Reducing voltage

Our club lets kids run the controller for one of the lines when we do certain events (like, right now, with Detroit Festival of Trees), but we could use a way to forcibly limit the speed on the line that they're allowed to run. One way that's really (...) (15 years ago, 23-Nov-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NXTasy down

(...) To me all forums look empty and the search function says it's been disabled. If there are server problems or maintenance is being performed, maybe something could be put on the NXTasy blog to inform users of these issues... Jetro (15 years ago, 22-Nov-09, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: NXTasy down

(...) Seems that now the forums aren't working. Apparently there's a division by zero in the php source code. Firefox claims that any post clicked on gets stuck in a redirect loop. Is this just me, or is this happening to everyone? (15 years ago, 22-Nov-09, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: Color Sensors Showdown

(...) Thank you for another great review/test. I've been wondering for some time if it would make sense to order the HiTechnic Colour Sensor since I already have the LEGO Colour Sensor. Now I know. Jetro (15 years ago, 14-Nov-09, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, FTX)
