I was familiar with the firmware source code since I had looked at it quite a bit since it was released, trying to figure out how to get it to compile with GCC. (...) BricxCC uses the NXT Fantom API layer to communicate with the NXT via both bluetooth and USB. If you have the NXT Fantom drivers installed properly (which, if you can communicate with the NXT via the standard NXT software, you must) then when (...) There are several possible reasons for your problem(s). * Is COM1 the right port? If it isn't just before the main window of BricxCC is opened you are informed communication with the brick was unsuccessful and that you'll not be able to download (...) (19 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Unfortunately the ultrasonic sensor can't even detect the red and blue balls when stationary. (Unless you're REAL close: within an inch or two.)
