  Re: Olsenbande Robotic B&E

(...) I should show this video to people who think LEGO robotics has no practical applications. It certainly does, especially if you need to rob a place. (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: GBC- Magnetic Ball Separator

Bah! I was simply too lazy to look it up myself. :D (And Peeron has been loading pages very slowly for me lately.) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Text Based Programming for NXT - pbLua is Available

(...) I think pbLua is actually running. The problem is that the signon screen does not get displayed until the USB connection is made. Which is why I need to find out how USB enumeration happens on a Mac. The pbLua firmware makes the NXT look like (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Text Based Programming for NXT - pbLua is Available

(...) I'm still building and finalizing the API. I should probably start posting some questions on this forum... Eventually I'd like to get the API and the Lua table out there but I need to get docs set up. If you can help with install instructions (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Like A Rock Crawler Hauler

We've been playing around with Rock Crawlers for a while, so I finally put up a web page with a bunch of pictures and descriptions on it. (URL) addition to my Rock Crawler (and a link to John's trucks), about half way down the page, there are (...)   Sensor Input Site URL Changed

Hello; As many of you know I've kept a website for information on homebrew LEGO Mindstorms Sensors since the beginning of time: www.plazaearth.com/u...i/lego.htm . Unfortunately I had to change the host and lost the URL. Here is the new URL for the (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Olsenbande Robotic B&E

Maybe this has been posted before, (couldn't find it here) but this is a pretty cool little video anyway. Staged for TV, no doubt, but a great little mechanism here... (URL) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Text Based Programming for NXT - pbLua is Available

(...) It sounds like you DID get it loaded right here. At this point, I believe you need to unplug the NXT from the USB, then reconnect it. (...) You need to reset the NXT. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Then, you should be able to (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Text Based Programming for NXT - pbLua is Available

What is the method to load the pbLua firmware, preferably in OS X? It's a .bin file so NXT-G doesn't recognize it. I tried renaming it to a .rfw file and it succeeds but then gets stuck in samba click mode. Then I tried libnxt's fwflash, holding (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: GBC- Magnetic Ball Separator

(...) For the ball used in the video: Go to www.peeron.com Type "golden egg" (from the description) into the search box, click [Search] Find nothing, so reduce that to "egg", click [Search] Skim the results for matching parts that mention metal. (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

"steve" <lego-robotics@crynwr.com> wrote in message news:45B05D2F.705@ai...ail.net... (...) One thing I have noticed is that if I post to this newsgroup I will get some weird mail delivery failure notice from some blog or RSS feed. Even though I (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Amazon?

I've noticed that whenever I email this list, I get a bunch of strange messages back from the Amazon.com support line or something. It sounds like someone managed to subscribe amazon.com's autoresponder to the mailing list! Could someone who (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: GBC- Magnetic Ball Separator

(...) I think it's a magnetic "ball-separator" - not a "magnetic-ball" separator. :-) I have a bunch of steel ball-bearings in my Lego storage system - so they must be used in one set or another - I have no idea which ones though. There are also (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: GBC- Magnetic Ball Separator

(...) Excellent! That looks like a really great addition to any GBC: for one thing, I've often wondered how long it takes to complete "one lap", and you really need a long average (as some modules recycle balls, etc.) I hope it's OK with you if I (...)   Re: Text Based Programming for NXT - pbLua is Available

Hi Ralph, it's great to see this. I'm eager to have a play. Apologies if I've been part of the bother with sending you emails. In releasing details of your toolset, are you revealing your source code too? Both would be an enormous help to people (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)
