Hi, I've been trying some experiments with Spybotic communications using Bricxcc and NQC. I have been able to send and receive messages using 'SendSpybotMessage()' and 'RxMessage()' However, when I try to read the controller, I am only able to (...) Hmmm The blip and LCD clearing, while useful for debugging may be messing things up. The characters are coming in way faster than the blip time, so you may not be reading the buffer fast enough. I have been given a "broken" multi-function office machine (i.e. FAX, printer, scanner). I am wondering if there are any worthwhile bits in this type of machine that can be used to make homebrew sensors for the RCX? If anyone has ideas or experience (...) (...) Unfortunately, BricxCC is still not downloading the brickOS firmware correctly. I will look into this problem and try to fix it. In the mean time, you can use firmdl3 which works correctly. (...) Um, the back-EMF of the motore isn't related to the motor load per se but rather the relaxation of the current in the coil when it moves off the stators.
