(...) You are right Chris, the train controller is not a good idea. Indeed all Lego adaptors (including the one for RCX 1.0) provide AC only. And turning the knob in the wrong direction is just too easy. Thanks for correcting my misleading (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) CAUTION!!! The wall-wart that comes with the train adaptor puts out an AC voltage that will likely damage your RCX if used this way!!! I wrote Michael Anderson (firmware guru at TLC) expressing my concerns about the future of Mindstorms based on the recent press regarding TLC's financial woes. I asked him if he could reassure me. let's don't make things worse than they really are if we think "the core" is brick and nothing more then we should think TLC will stop producting plates which is stupid so IMO technic is a patr of "core" the same with liftarms (studless beams) "the (...) Hi :) I contacted LEGO Support and they sent me the CD with the VC XP software free of charge. ...this kind of support makes me always consider my money well spent when buying LEGO :) (now... if only they could also upgrade the hardware part of (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)
