Hi :) I contacted LEGO Support and they sent me the CD with the VC XP software free of charge. ...this kind of support makes me always consider my money well spent when buying LEGO :) (now... if only they could also upgrade the hardware part of (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)

small suggestion: when you've a syntax error in NQC, it goes like this - error is reported - you correct the error - recompile the source - code is downloaded - error message disappears In my opinion, the last 2 actions should be the other way (...) If Technic continues, replacing the controller and motors with better options won't be hard. The real problem will be the lack of standardization as members of the group experiment. Is there any place I can download this software? I've just recently upgraded my computer and change OS from Win98 to WinXP. And offcourse the Lego Mindstorm Vission Command does not even want to install on the computer.... but I did know that it (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello, for the benefit of the next guy reading this thread (probably in January 2006 :-) : Dave was right, the *.rcx file I was trying to feed to pbsim wasn't in the current directory. (I didn't notice that my Java environment, jEdit, had set the (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

It seems like the writing is on the wall with regards to the retail sector for many of LEGO's more sophisticated lineups --- press releases abound about how LEGO is restructuring and eliminating all its electronics (which I assume means Mindstorms) (...)
