  Re: compass sensor

(...) Raphael, HiTechnic does sell this sensor, ready to connect to an RCX. (I doubt John would say that himself, because LUGNET rules don't allow advertising, but I'm not associated with HiTechnic.) With that said, I doubt it's a simple task to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: compass sensor

Hi John! Ok, I will see if I can get this thing somewhere. You have it already working I guess; could you either send me your ideas or put them somewhere on the web? Would be a great help (and time saving)! Thanks, Raphael original message: The (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: compass sensor

The sensor element used can be found for sale at various suppliers. It is the PNI Vector 2X module. You will have to convert it's serial digital output to a format suited to use by the RCX. JB (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: compass sensor

Hi Dave! Three degrees sound acceptable. Can you buy this compass sensor somewhere or did you build it yourself? Do you have any schematics that I could build it myself? Any Link to a web page?   Re: compass sensor

(...) I have an early version that is pretty darned good, about +/- 3 degrees. Not bad considering the inheirent inaccuracies and backlash/slop in Lego gearing. Refreshes pretty quickly and is quite responsive to direction changes. No problem even (...) (23 years ago, 25-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi Raphael, hi Reto, (...) Lejos 2.1.0 has been released in the meantime, it should support all this. Jürgen (23 years ago, 25-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX/Spybotics/Scout communication

(...) With the latest release of Brixcc, you have the ability to control the spybot. I sent commands to the spybot from Bricxx, but havent' gotten to the point of actually sending commands from the RCX to the Spybot--been a little busy lately. That (...)   Re: RCX/Spybotics/Scout communication

(...) I'm no expert here, but I hate to see questions go unanswered. I believe you can use the same NQC commands to send messages to and from the spybot as used in the standard RCX. (23 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.scout)

Interesting 3D LIDAR component: (URL) Didn't look deeply enough to determine what it could and could not be interfaced with or used for. Chris - Xenon (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX/Spybotics/Scout communication

Having read the messages in the various newsgoups, I must admit I'm a little puzzled. I've seen a lot of discussion about IR communication, but I don't think I have a straight answer. I have an RCX, a Scout, and some Spybotics under the Christmas (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.scout)
