  Re: Line following algorithms

From: Gary Mullen <garym@the-mullens.net> (...) It's a little of both. (prize & prestige) When you go to a contest sponsored by a robot club, they often give out "real robot" prizes. (stuff WE can't usually use) But at the last line following event (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX Tank Base

(...) > of trying hot-glue if it doesn't melt the LEGO's... There are two kinds of hot-melt glue guns - High temperature and Low temperature. I know that the low temperature kind definitely don't melt Lego and the glue does peel off relatively (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX Tank Base

(...) Depends on who you are, a 100% LEGO solution is better IMHO. Of course glue or cross stitching falls out of the purists world. I once made some heavy duty treads from halvbeams and cross axles but found it difficult to get enough traction from (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX Tank Base

Are non-Lego treads are out of the question? I've had lots of luck with different brands including the ones shown on my very old web page at www.borg.com/~pinkmice JB (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: RCX Tank Base

<SNIP> (...) I haven't tried any adhesives on my tracks yet, but I was thinking of trying hot-glue if it doesn't melt the LEGO's or some tub caulk. School glue and/or wood glue (leaning more towards wood glue) may have enough strength to hold and it (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Line following algorithms

(...) I don't think there is really a good source for this information, yet. I'm planning on making a web page with information about line following, including event locations, in the near future. One place to look is the regular robot clubs. Like: (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Another cement mixer......

(...) Hi Tobbe, sorry for delay in replying you, I have pleasure in your comment. As you specified, main news on this model are RCX's applications. Really my target is building a big "work zone" technic figure scale with 3-4 interactive models (...)   Re: RCX Tank Base

(...) Yeah, tell me about it. My latest MOC (still to be published) uses 1 x 6 plates on this type of treads and I made the MOC remote controlled and had to pick up a lot of plates when I was done driving. The treads have some serious flaws but are (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
