That would be here: (URL) tried building it, and it didn't work very well. Maybe I did something wrong. (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Problem with auto-steering mechanism.

(...) Yes - that seems to work too - but it still needs one wheel in the middle to make it practical and that added to the length of the differential makes for a VERY tall vehicle. Even my original design suffers from that problem. I'm having to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

May I give it a go?..... I'm not exactly sure of the Toy you speak of, Hmmm. I also have seen a Toy that does this. I brought a gift from Zany Brainy for my Friends Son's Birthday. The thing was neat! It was a Clear Ball and had a little I think, (...) (23 years ago, 25-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Problem with auto-steering mechanism.

(...) Yeah - exactly. (...) Limiting the rotation like that would remove the very feature of this mechanism that I need - the ability to escape (eventually) from any kind of corner. (...) That might work - but it comes into the catagory of 'iffy' (...) (23 years ago, 25-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)
