  Re: What's next for MindStorms

I also ran a search and found the portfolio of someone who worked on the project: (URL) are photos of the original ideas for the sypbots and the beacon. Interesting to see how much the spybots changed. Info at this site says they won't be released (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: What's next for MindStorms

It looks like it's more along the lines of the micro-scout, but it sounds a bit more capable. The $60 price can include more smarts, because there aren't that many lego parts with each, only about 200. I'll bet AFOL's can find a lot more to do with (...)   Re: What's next for MindStorms

(...) Thanks to you amazon.com reference, I did some searching and came up with this review: (URL) it doesn't seem to be a true MindStorms kit. Here's a quote from the reviewer: "...the Spybotics line draws its roots from the ever-popular MindStorms (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: What's next for MindStorms

I think there are plans for new kits and the theme is spying. If you go to the legomindstorms site and login you will see that there is a game about spying (found under community/games/ then chose Robohunter 2). Further, if you go to Amazon (see (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  What's next for MindStorms

I've noticed that the price of the MindStorm accessory packs has been dropping, and that Lego has introduced new sets for just about every line /except/ MindStorms (and Technic, Bionicle excluded). What's going on??? Has Lego got something really (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  LegOS presenter wanted

BrickFest 2002 is still actively looking for someone to give a LegOS presentation. If your are planning on being at BrickFest (and who wouldn't be) and have successfully wrestled LegOS into submission, please think about telling us how you did it! (...)   Hacking RS232 port to RCX

  Re: LegOS / Orignal Firmware

(...) You can use the original LEGO download if you remove legOS first - this can be done by pressing the on/off button while holding the run button. HTH ROSCO (23 years ago, 30-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
